Board and commission disclosure requirements

Category 1

All sources of income, reportable interests in real property, investments, and business positions in business entities located in or doing business in Marin County.

Category 3

Investments and business positions in business entities and sources of income which provide library services, supplies, materials, machinery or equipment of the type used by the library.

Category 10

Reportable interests in real property. Investments and business positions in any business entity located in or doing business in Marin County or income from any source if the business entity or source of income manufactures or sells supplies, machinery or equipment of the type utilized by the County. Investments and business positions in any business entity or income from any source if the business entity or source of income is a contractor or subcontractor engaged in the performance of work or services of the type utilized by the County.

Some boards, commissions and committees require appointed members to file a disclosure statement with the Clerk of the Board. If a board or commission managed by the County of Marin is not on the list below, its members don't have to do this. 

However, some groups are not managed by the County of Marin and might have their own rules about conflicts of interest. If you join a board, commission or committee, double check with the group's administrator on conflict of interest requirements.
