Mary Sackett

Supervisor District 1

Marin County's District 1 elected Mary Sackett as their representative on the Board of Supervisors in June 2022 and she was sworn in to her first term in December 2022. Mary's passion for environmental stewardship and dedication to public service are core values she brings to Marin.

Mary is a lawyer and has been an active community member long before her tenure as Supervisor. She currently serves on the Miller Creek Site Council and has previously served on the Marin County Bar Association Board of Directors and the Vallecito Elementary Site Council, as a Safe Routes to Schools volunteer, as a member of the San Rafael Harbor Rotary Club. In 2017, Mary took her civic engagement to the next level when she began working as an Aide to Marin County Supervisor, Damon Connolly.

Mary is committed to listening to residents and taking meaningful steps to fight climate change, create affordable housing, address homelessness, close gaps in our transportation system, strengthen disaster preparedness, and advance equity.
