Stephanie Moulton-Peters

District 3 Supervisor

Stephanie Moulton-Peters currently serves as 1st Vice President of the Marin County Board of Supervisors. She represents District 3, which includes the cities and towns of Belvedere, Mill Valley, Sausalito, and Tiburon, as well as the unincorporated communities of Almonte, Alto–Sutton Manor, Floating Homes, Marin City, Paradise Cay, Richardson Bay, Strawberry, and Tam Valley. She is committed to transparent, responsive, and inclusive governance that addresses the needs of all constituents.

Stephanie plays a leading role on numerous local and regional boards. She currently serves as Vice Chair of the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) and sits on the Bay Conservation and Development Commission (BCDC), Golden Gate Bridge Highway and Transportation District, and Marin County Transit District Board of Directors. She is a past Chair of the Transportation Authority of Marin (TAM) and now chairs both the Marin County–City Sea Level Rise Collaborative (BayWAVE). Additionally, she serves on the Marin Housing Authority (past Chair), the Marin Flood and Water Conservation District, Parks and Open Space Commission, and several other committees focused on transportation, housing, climate resilience, and regional collaboration.

Before being elected Supervisor, Stephanie served three terms on the Mill Valley City Council, including three terms as Mayor (2010, 2014, 2018). Professionally, she worked for PG&E, managing environmental regulatory compliance programs for air, water, toxics, and climate change.

A graduate of Stanford University’s Program in Human Biology with a concentration in environmental policy, Stephanie also completed the Harvard Kennedy School’s Senior Executives in State and Local Government program in 2022. She and her husband live in Mill Valley and have two adult sons.
