Hazardous waste is any kind of trash that can be potentially harmful to people or the environment. Hazardous waste can come from household waste or in the commercial industrial waste stream. Hazardous waste can include batteries, paints and solvents, motor oil, household cleaners, pesticides, or compressed gas tanks such as propane or oxygen.
