Carlino Family Design Review (P6532)

The applicant is requesting Design Review approval to modify an existing hip roof of a primary residence to a gable roof located within the front setback, on a developed lot in Mill Valley. The project entails no new square footage, resulting in no change to the overall floor area and no increased encroachment into the required setbacks. The maximum height of the structure appears unchanged and would remain at 24 feet and 5 inches above surrounding grade, and the exterior walls would maintain existing distances from property lines as follows: 14 inches from the front west property line, 5 feet from the north and south side property lines, and 25 feet from the east rear property line. The proposed development also includes the addition of a small dormer at the existing entry.
