Frentzen Family Trust Floating Home Exception (P6485)

The applicant requests Floating Home Exception approval to construct a 458 square foot roof top deck accessible via a new spiral stair case on the front deck on an existing floating home on Liberty Dock. The roof top deck would include a 42 inch high guardrail. The existing floating home is 16 feet 11 inches above the water line; adding the 42 inch high guardrail would increase the height to 20 feet 5 inches. The roof top deck would be contained within the footprint of the existing structure and would have the following setbacks: 19 feet from the adjacent floating home to the north; 19 feet from the adjacent floating home to the south; and 15 feet from Liberty Dock. 

Floating Home Exception approval is required pursuant to Marin County Development Code Section 22.32.075.
