What we do
We work in partnership with the Marin Cultural Association to support art and culture in Marin County. Together, we create greater access to the arts for everyone in Marin by:
- Increasing participation
- Advancing collaboration
- Optimizing resources
Our department:
- Operates the Marin Center campus and facilities as rental venues
- Showcases a diverse series of performances and events in our theaters
- Exhibits art by Marin County artists in our galleries
- Produces the Marin County Fair – the largest annual event in Marin
- Oversees the Frank Lloyd Wright Civic Center docent tours
Divisions and programs
Events
We manage a diverse series of events and performances at the Marin Center theaters and fairgrounds. The largest annual event we produce is the Marin County Fair.
Venue Rentals
We manage the rental of our buildings and outdoor areas. This includes theaters, event spaces, meeting rooms and fairgrounds inspired by world-renowned architect Frank Lloyd Wright.
Box Office
We manage ticket sales, marketing, and staffing for events at the Marin Center.
Art Galleries and Tours
We coordinate art exhibits at 3 galleries and promote public art in Marin. We also manage and coordinate tours of the Civic Center with our team of volunteer docents.
Mission Statement
The Cultural Services department supports a thriving arts community. We offer a cultural hub and gathering space at the Marin Center. We provide leadership in building support for the arts throughout the County.
