Frequently Asked Questions

Guided docent tours are available on Wednesdays at 1:00pm and on Fridays at 10:30am.

Yes, advance tickets are required for each tour. Tickets can be purchased here.

Tours begin in the second floor Cafeteria in Room 233. The cafeteria can be accessed through any entrance of the building by taking the elevator to the second floor.

The tour begins in the second floor cafeteria space in Room 233 and remains there for roughly the first 15 minutes of the tour. Catch up with your group there! If you are more than 15 minutes late, you will likely be able to spot the group near the escalator at the South Arch Entrance or the Scale Model on the first floor.

Parking is free at the Marin Civic Center. Please make sure to park in a 2 Hour or All Day zone to avoid getting a ticket. Tours can take up to 90 minutes. 

Tour capacity is 30 people to ensure the best experience and access to the building. 

Tours average from 75 to 90 minutes. 

Yes, there are places to sit at certain stops throughout the tours but please be prepared to walk or stand for 90 minutes.

Yes, all tours are fully accessible. Wheelchairs, walkers, and strollers are allowed on all tours. 

There is no restaurant or hot food on site. The Civic Center has minimal food/drink offerings via vending machines. 

No, the Civic Center does not have rooms available to rent for private meetings or events.

Photography and videography of the building itself is allowed.
