Firehouse Community Park Agency (Mesa Park)
Special Parcel Tax Measure

Measure L

This Measure was placed on the ballot by the Firehouse Community Park Agency, also known as the Mesa Park Board.

The existing Firehouse Community Park Agency parcel tax, which is levied at $75 per year per improved parcel, is set to expire on June 30, 2026. If this Measure is approved by two-thirds of the votes cast on this special tax proposal, that parcel tax will be renewed at $150 per year per improved parcel within the Firehouse Community Park Agency, except for parcels otherwise exempt from property taxes. The parcel tax applies for a period of four years beginning July 1, 2026 and expiring June 30, 2030. The Firehouse Community Park Agency may choose to increase the parcel tax by up to 3% each year after the initial year. The Board of Commissioners of the Firehouse Community Park Agency estimates revenue from this Measure will be approximately $210,000 annually.

The stated purposes for the funds raised by this special tax are for operation, maintenance, improvement, acquisition, and construction of park facilities administered by the Firehouse Community Park Agency, as well as for the provision of park services.
