Ballots go out April 15

As of August 1, 2025, the Federal Voting Assistance Program (FVAP) discontinued its DoD Fax Service. Please read the following

notification to county elections officials from the California Secretary of State.

Additionally, several countries have suspended or otherwise limited mail service to the United States. The country where you are currently living or stationed might be impacted. For some U.S. voters, this has made returning a voted ballot more challenging than in past elections.

In California, military and overseas voters may return a voted ballot by US Mail or by fax. We understand that discontinuation of the DoD Fax Service may create a hardship for you. We apologize for the inconvenience this causes.

The Marin County Registrar of Voters may still accept a ballot by fax. Please check your area to find a fax service option that works for you. If you prefer to return your ballot by mail, we strongly recommend that you take the following actions:

1. Talk with the mail carrier in your region and ask whether mail service to the United States is available.
2. Check the status of your voter registration[External].
3. Sign up for Where's My Ballot[External].
4. Return your voted ballot by mail as soon as possible to avoid delays.

Under state law, you may not email a voted ballot.

Ballot packet includes a Voter Guide, Ballot, Oath of Voter Form, Return Instructions and Postage-paid Return Envelope.

You can return your ballot by:

• Fax - on or before June 2 by 8 pm. You can return your ballot by using an E-Fax service.
  • You MUST complete and return the Oath of Voter Form with your ballot.
• Mail - postmarked on or before June 2 and received by June 9.
  • You MUST date and sign the outside of your return envelope.

You must have access to a printer to use the email option.

You will receive an email from info@ uocava.com with a link, access code, and instruction to access your ballot.

Ballot packet includes your Marked Ballot, Oath of Voter Form, Return Instructions, and Postage-paid Return Envelope Image.
