Since elected in 2014, I’ve worked to protect Sausalito’s irreplaceable character while delivering practical, lasting and positive results to our community.

Together, we’ve accomplished a great deal: I led the successful resolution of a 35-year waterfront challenge by restoring order in Sausalito’s waters, rehousing offshore residents and protecting vital eelgrass habitat. I led the charge to preserve the Bridgeway safety median and opposed mooring fields threatening Sausalito’s northern waterfront. I championed innovative, dignified solutions that re-housed individuals experiencing homelessness. Most recently, I helped deliver a $40 million infrastructure investment, including $17 million in street resurfacing.

Sausalito is at a crossroads. State housing mandates are reshaping our town, and the poorly drafted AIM initiative threatens our northern waterfront, from The Spinnaker to Gate 5 Road, and the quality of life in Sausalito.

This is a time for independent leadership with proven determination to stand up for our community. As an attorney and retired Navy JAG Captain, I have the experience and training to deliver for you.

My husband and I have lived in Sausalito for 26 years, where we raised our son. My last 12 years of City Council public service prove: We are all in for Sausalito.

I respectfully ask for your vote. jillforsausalito.com

Incumbent

I’m running for reelection to our City Council to keep Sausalito safe, livable, and fiscally strong. I bring 30 years of municipal legal experience: Planning Commissioner from 2008-2016, Mayor in 2018 and 2025, and municipal lawyer serving cities, counties, schools, and special districts statewide.

Within two months of my election, I ensured Sausalito timely adopted its Housing Element, the only Marin County city to do so, sparing us from Builder’s Remedy forced upzoning. As Mayor, I delivered a $16 million plan to repair streets, ADA facilities, and critical infrastructure, protecting taxpayers. I endorsed the Property and Business Improvement District that helped revitalize our downtown.

I started the Safe Harbor program to move anchor-outs to marinas and land-based housing, one of several compassionate solutions I’ve brought to our toughest issues.

My goal for the next four years is to thoughtfully update our Marinship zoning through a community-based process that protects our artists, marine workers, makers, and marina operators while allowing reasonable expansion. As a BCDC Commissioner, I will advocate to increase the percentage of affordable liveaboards in Sausalito.

These are uncertain times. Sausalito needs proven leadership that avoids missteps and builds bridges to the future. I respectfully request your vote.

Consultant, Planning Commissioner

Born and raised in Sausalito, I am proud to still live in my family home and remain deeply connected to the community that shaped me. I am running for City Council because I believe Sausalito needs greater accountability, transparency, and a renewed commitment to serving residents while maintaining the essential services that keep our city strong. Through thoughtful and responsible leadership, we can preserve what makes Sausalito special while preparing for the future.

Service has always been central to my life. As a teenager, I received a Lifetime Volunteer Award for my commitment to the community, and I have continued that dedication through nearly ten years of public service on the Historic Preservation and Planning Commissions, including the past two years as Chair.

I am passionate about protecting Sausalito’s unique character, including its arts community, working waterfront, maritime heritage, scenic hills, Richardson Bay, and village atmosphere. Having worked in fifteen local businesses to help pay for college, I understand firsthand the resilience, hard work, and pride that define our community.

My goal is to honor and celebrate the Sausalito I grew up in while bringing fresh perspectives to the challenges and opportunities ahead. I would be honored to earn your trust and your vote for City Council.

Retired Technology Executive

I love Sausalito. For the past three years, I’ve served this town full-time as a volunteer.

Before that, I spent over 20 years leading large teams, managing multimillion-dollar budgets, and solving complex problems in mission-critical technology. I know how to build consensus and turn plans into results.

I’ve put that experience to work here. The new Ferry Landing, the revitalized Downtown, the Center for the Arts, repaved streets, and expanded parking are improvements you see every day, and my advocacy, consensus-building, and common-sense problem-solving helped make them happen. Sausalito’s Mayor Steven Woodside endorses my candidacy.

When elected, I’ll bring that same energy to City Council: unleashing Sausalito’s creative spirit, strengthening our economy, and fixing our infrastructure — without raising your taxes.

Sausalito’s independent, creative character is worth protecting. I share the fear of losing what makes this town special, but that fear has stopped good things from happening for too long. It’s time to protect what we love and build what we need.

I humbly ask for your vote, thank you.
