For the past eight years, I have had the honor of serving as your elected Marin Healthcare District Director and serve as Vice Chair.

During my tenure, I chaired the MarinHealth COVID-19 Task Force, leading our community through the pandemic. I also helped oversee the voter-approved $394 million Measure F General Obligation Bond that made our new MarinHealth Medical Center possible. I helped recruit outstanding physicians, expand specialized services, support health education, and lead successful e-bike safety initiatives.

Before joining the District Board, I served on the MarinHealth Foundation Board and now serve on its Capital Campaign Committee. I have also served on the Operating Board’s Quality and Patient Safety Committee and chair the District Board’s Lease and Building Committee, helping ensure responsible stewardship of District assets.

For nearly 20 years, I have had the privilege of caring for Marin County residents as a spine surgeon at MarinHealth Medical Center. As Co-Medical Director of Spine Surgery, I have worked with physicians, nurses, and staff to deliver outstanding patient care.

I remain committed to protecting our community’s investment and ensuring exceptional healthcare for Marin.

Orthopedic Surgeon

I have had the privilege of serving Marin County as a board-certified orthopedic surgeon for the past 20 years. Throughout my career, I have been committed to providing exceptional patient care and ensuring our community has access to high-quality, compassionate, and fiscally responsible healthcare.

I earned my medical degree from Georgetown University, completed my orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Virginia, and received advanced fellowship training in shoulder surgery at Harvard-affiliated Massachusetts General Hospital, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and the University of Zurich in Switzerland.

In addition to caring for patients of all ages, I have served as Chairman of the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Marin General Hospital and on the governing board of Marin Specialty Surgery Center. These leadership roles have given me firsthand experience balancing clinical excellence with responsible stewardship of healthcare resources.

If elected to the Marin Health Medical District Board, I will strengthen access to outstanding healthcare, support the physicians, nurses, and staff who serve our community, and promote transparency, accountability, and sound financial management.

Marin County has been home to my family and me for nearly two decades. I will always put patients first and help ensure Marin Health earns the trust, respect, confidence, and support of our community while delivering the highest standards of care.
