Educator, Nonprofit Director

As current Dean of Students at a Marin High School, former SMCSD employee, nonprofit leader, and Marin City community member, I have dedicated my career to creating opportunities for young people to learn, lead, and thrive. I am running for the SMCSD School Board to bring experienced, student-centered leadership to our district.

My priorities are clear.

First, rebuilding and strengthening trust. Our district is strongest when families, educators, administrators, board members, and community partners communicate openly and work together. I will prioritize transparency, accountability, and meaningful community engagement.

Second, fully realizing the Community Schools model. Our schools should be hubs of opportunity where students and families can access academic support, enrichment, wellness resources, and strong community partnerships. We must ensure this model moves from vision to measurable impact.

Third, strengthening middle school curriculum, student achievement, and outcomes. Our students deserve rigorous, engaging instruction that prepares them academically and socially for high school and beyond. I will focus on measurable progress, closing opportunity gaps, and ensuring students leave our district prepared to succeed.

I am ready to listen, collaborate, and lead with students at the center of every decision. I respectfully ask for your vote.

Trustee, Sausalito Marin City School District

I’ve lived in the district for 14 years and have served on the Sausalito Marin City School Board since 2022. As Board President, I’m committed to listening to teachers, parents, students, and our broader community as we work to build a world-class school.

I’ve been actively involved in the district’s recent leadership transitions, support careful evaluation of alternative leadership structures, helped advance our school and field improvement projects, and supported the parcel tax that expanded educational opportunities for our students.

Previously, I served six years on the Concord School Committee and the Concord-Carlisle Regional High School Committee in Massachusetts, chairing both boards.

Professionally, I’m a lawyer and entrepreneur who has served as a CEO, COO, board member, and advisor in healthcare, education, food, and infrastructure. I’ve also chaired an NSF-funded STEM nonprofit. I would be honored to continue serving our students and community.

Social Worker / Parent

As the parent of a middle schooler and a fifth grader who have been enrolled in this district since 2018, I have experienced firsthand the changes and transitions our schools and district have navigated over the years. These experiences have formed my commitment to helping our students, educators, families, and community in any way I can. Throughout my life, first as a community organizer and now as a social worker, I have learned that lasting solutions begin with listening, building trust, and bringing people together. I am committed to ensuring every voice is heard and every family feels valued.

As an immigrant who has proudly called Marin City home for more than 20 years, I understand the importance of belonging and the resilience it takes to build community. As a bilingual, multicultural person of color, I deeply appreciate the diversity that defines our district and believe our leadership should reflect and celebrate it.

I am running for the school board because I believe our students deserve leaders who will listen, collaborate, and lead with compassion, integrity, and purpose. Together, we can strengthen our schools, support our educators, and create opportunities for every child to succeed.
