Father, Businessowner

As a longtime resident of San Anselmo, a commercial property owner, and a local business operator, I’ve built my life and livelihood in this town and raised three children here. As a member of the San Anselmo Chamber of Commerce, I want to bring that same hands-on, practical perspective to the Town Council.

San Anselmo has tremendous strengths: a walkable downtown, engaged neighbors, and a small-town character worth protecting. Strong, well-funded schools are central to that character; they draw families here and support the vitality of the town as a whole. I also want to help finish the reopening of Creek Plaza, one of our downtown community parks; my hand-on experience with property and business operations can help expedite the process and improve the end result for everyone who uses it.

I believe good government isn’t about ideology; it’s about pragmatic, logic-based decision-making that weighs real trade-offs and delivers real results. Having operated businesses, managed property, and raised a family here, I understand what it takes to keep San Anselmo economically healthy while preserving what makes it worth calling home. I’m running to contribute that same discipline to Town Hall.

Nonprofit CEO

I am running for Town Council because San Anselmo deserves leadership that rolls up its sleeves to solve real problems. Whether supporting our local businesses, investing in emergency preparedness, or protecting our environment, I want to put my experience to work for our town.

My wife and I chose San Anselmo to raise our two young children because of its close-knit community, vibrant local businesses, and sense of belonging. As we’ve put down roots, my commitment to giving back has only grown.

Throughout my career, I have worked to solve complex challenges. As the CEO of ExtraFood (a nonprofit that rescues excess food from businesses, schools, and farms to deliver to people facing hunger), I manage a multimillion-dollar budget and bring people together to deliver practical, results-driven solutions.

I will bring thoughtful leadership and a commitment to serving residents by supporting local businesses and schools to keep our economy and community thriving, investing in infrastructure and emergency preparedness to protect our neighborhoods, safeguarding our environment and open spaces, and ensuring San Anselmo remains safe and welcoming for residents at every stage of life.

Our town needs practical leadership for the future. I would be honored to earn your vote. www.will4sananselmo.com

San Anselmo Councilmember, Mayor

Whether it’s playing at Memorial Park, hiking a trail with a phenomenal view, or a family evening downtown, San Anselmo is the best place to live. We are blessed with a wealth of individual talent, committed to our community and environment, and remain proudly and uniquely a small town.

Serving on the Town Council — and as your Mayor — has given me the opportunity to share my passion for public service and working towards collaborative solutions to our Town’s most pressing issues.

With a background in public safety and local government, I promise to remain open and accessible, and listen to all sides in order to be an advocate for our entire community.

My priorities include: maintaining our roads, parks, and facilities; public safety and emergency preparedness; addressing climate change; fiscal oversight and economic sustainability so that we can continue to support a fresh and thriving town and improve basic services.

I bring a wealth of experience and dedication to the table and look forward to working together to ensure that our town remains vibrant, family-friendly, and safe.

I look forward to continuing to serve the community we all love and would be honored to have your vote. Facebook.com/Burdo4SanAnselmo
