Manual Tally of Ballots Cast in November Special Election
Deadline to certify the election is December 2
San Rafael, CA – The Marin County Elections Department will start the manual tally of the November 4, 2025, Statewide Special Election on Monday, November 17 at 10 AM. Members of the public are welcome to observe the manual tally.
Notice of the date, time and place of the activities was posted on November 10 on the department’s website. All work is performed in the Marin County Elections Department located in Suite 121, Marin Civic Center, 3501 Civic Center Drive, San Rafael.
The Registrar of Voters will certify the election on December 2 in accordance with Senate Bill 280 — urgency legislation that was passed this year. Voters who had a missing or non-matching signature on their ballot envelope were sent a notification along with a form for curing the problem. Voters have until 5 PM November 30 to return their form.
