Application to serve as an Election Worker

Resumen

Thank you for your interest in becoming an election worker. We are looking for people committed to the democratic process who can serve at a vote center, especially those that can speak Chinese, Spanish, or Vietnamese. Election workers must be able to read and write English.  If you speak another language, be sure and indicate that language on your application.

PLEASE NOTE: to qualify as an election worker you must be either a registered voter in California or a lawful permanent resident of the U.S. and aged 18 and older. Being an election worker requires a solid commitment to be at the vote center location before, during, and after the vote centers are open.

All election workers are required to attend a training class prior to working.

The vote centers will be open three days before the election for 8 hours each day and on Election Day, 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Breaks are provided throughout the day.

Those who can commit to working all four days at a vote center will be placed first. If you cannot work all days, you can still apply. You may be placed the days you are available or called to replace a worker that drops out

NOTE: vote center workers must be able to read and write English.
