Funding opportunities for nonprofits

Apply for the Community Service Fund and Nonprofit Community Partners grant programs.

The County offers project-based funding programs for nonprofits and government agencies. They support specific projects and programs that:

  • Provide measurable benefits to the community
  • Don’t clearly fit within the activities of a single County department
  • Can be completed by the end of the funding programs’ contract terms

We give priority to requests that represent 50% or less than the total project cost. Funding from the grants is one-time.

Funds are limited and awards are based on the amount of funds available. If you don't use all of the funds for the services specified in the grant application, you have to return the rest.

Community Services Fund

The Community Services Fund is for small one-time projects, including unforeseen or emergency needs. They must be completed by the end of the contract term or within about 6 months.

  • Requests can range from $1,000 - $10,000
  • 2 application cycles open each year
    • July 1 – August 31
    • January 1 – February 28
  • Multiple applications from a single agency are allowed, but no organization will receive more than $10,000 total per cycle
  • Grants are approved shortly after the submission period closes and funds are available immediately
