Report Your Airbnb Earnings
Each month, you’ll need to report your Transient Occupancy Tax, including information from any Airbnb stays.
Steps
- Log into your Airbnb account. Then navigate to your host dashboard by clicking on the word “host” on the top of the screen.
- Find your transaction history. If you click on your profile photo, you’ll see a menu. Click on transaction history.
- Open the gross earnings tab from the transaction history page.
- Set the date range to the time you want to report. Remember, you’ll need to report your Transient Occupancy Tax each month. You need to report the Transient Occupancy Tax for the time the guest stayed with you, not the time you were paid.
- Download the gross earnings report as a CSV. This file will open as a spreadsheet. If you’re using Numbers (on a Mac), you’ll need to export it to Excel by clicking on “Export as” from the File menu.
- Correct any information. If a column shows up as pound signs (####), double click to expand the column. Then the numbers should show up correctly.
- Print the report. Make sure you’re printing it in landscape format. You’ll need to scale the report down to make sure all the columns show up correctly.
- Save a copy for your own records.
- Use the online portal to complete your Transient Occupancy Tax report.
