What Medic 97 Paramedics do

Seasonal Paramedics work as part of a two-person crew and are responsible for:

  • Providing emergency ALS care in remote and rural areas

  • Transporting patients to area hospitals with professionalism and compassion
  • Maintaining readiness for a wide range of medical incidents, from trauma to cardiac care

Each Medic 97 team includes one Paramedic and one EMT. Shifts rotate between 12 and 24 hours to ensure continuous coverage for the West Marin area. EMT positions are filled by returning Seasonal Firefighters and are not open to public recruitment.
