Become a Lookout Volunteer
Marin County Fire Lookouts are volunteers who serve during the fire season. Fire season normally runs from July through October (depending on the rain). To learn more, watch A Day in the Life of a Lookout Volunteer, a film by Gary Yost. If you’re interested in volunteering, please email us.
Join the Measure W Oversight Committee
Measure W created the West Marin Transient Occupancy Tax Area. In recognition of the impacts of visitors to the area, the increase in transient occupancy taxes will provide more funding for enhanced services, including fire and emergency services. Periodically, the Committee will accept applications for new members. Learn more about the Measure W Oversight Committee.
