Checklist
Text
- Text is easy to understand and follows plain language guidelines.
- Any important information is included in the text, and not only in images or videos.
- Hashtags and URLs are in Pascal case, where every word is capitalized (#DigitalAccessibility instead of #digitalaccessibility).
- Emojis are used sparingly and placed at the end of the post.
Images
- All images have alt text. Any AI-generated alt text has been reviewed for accuracy and usefulness.
- Images include a minimal amount of text. Additional information can be included in the post caption or on a linked webpage.
- The color contrast of image text has been tested and passes AA standards.
- If GIFs must be included, they flash no more than 3 times per second and run for less than 5 seconds.
- If a QR code is included, then the equivalent link is also available in the text or in a comment.
Videos
- All videos with audio are captioned.
- Captions are easy to read with no highlighting of individual words.
- If captions were auto-generated, the results have been reviewed for accuracy.
- A brief description of the video is included in the text of the post.
- For any visual information that isn’t included in the audio track, audio description is available.
