AB1299 Point of Contact

This legislation was implemented effective July 1, 2017.

AB1299, engaged on July 1, 2017, is designed to ensure that appropriate mental heath services are provided to foster care youth in the county of their residence. The California Department of Social Services issued an All County Letter [PDF] that outlines the specific requirements of this law.
Agencies responsible for placing children in foster care must designate an AB1299 Point of Contact on their websites. In Marin County, the designated point of contact is ,Jeana Reynolds, MFT, who serves as the Supervisor of the Mental Health Unit in the Juvenile Division at the Marin County Probation Department.
