Marin County, CA – Marin County residents considering replacing a gas water heater can learn about heat pump water heaters at a free webinar hosted by the County of Marin Climate and Sustainability Office on Wednesday, November 18, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Anyone may register for the webinar.
The online session will include an explanation of how heat pump water heaters work and what homeowners should consider before installation. Participants can also learn what questions to ask contractors and get answers to questions about their homes and potential projects during a live Q&A.
Presenters will discuss funding programs that may help residents pay for a heat pump water heater project, as well as upcoming Bay Area Air Quality Management District regulations that will affect the sale and installation of gas water heaters beginning in 2028.
Residents interested in learning whether a heat pump water heater may be right for their home are encouraged to register and attend.
