Marin County Fair Draws More than 80,000 Attendees

More than 20,000 celebrated America’s 250th Anniversary, July 4, at the Fair.

Marin County, CA – From July 1 to 5, a total of 80,473 people (up from 79,988 in 2025) attended the Marin County Fair over Fourth of July week, generating $1,822,085 in ticket revenue. Themed Stars, Stripes & Stories, the five-day event honored America's 250th anniversary with music, fireworks, and Marin traditions.

"Every summer, the Fair reminds us how powerful it is when our community comes together," said Steve Dow, Director of the Marin County Cultural Services Department. "From all of us at the Marin County Fair, thank you for celebrating America's 250th anniversary and Marin's shared history with us."

Headline concerts by The Family Stone, Steel Pulse, Linda Perry, and Lupita Infante entertained fairgoers each night, alongside the Stars & Stripes Music Fest on July Fourth. Guests also enjoyed fireworks all five nights, barnyard activities, including the pig races and petting zoo, competitive exhibits, Community Stage performances, roaming grounds entertainment, carnival rides, Fair food, and more.

Additional post-Fair highlights:

  • 3,358 adults aged 65 or older and 5,752 kids 12 and under were admitted free on Family and Community Day on July 1, a 22.7% increase in older adult attendance and a 68.9% increase in admitted kids compared to 2025.
  • 75 attended the Fair’s low-sensory carnival day, a 120.6% increase in attendance from last year.
  • 2,911 competitive exhibit entries.
  • 809 blue ribbon winners.
  • 169 competitive exhibit artworks sold.
  • 1,719 volunteer hours served directly to the Fair, plus hundreds more to organizations and community groups participating in the Fair.
  • 6,994 MCA Art Studio participants.
  • 725 Community Stage performers.
  • 3,400 free trips taken on Marin Transit to and from the Fair.
  • 537 community paper quilt squares created.
  • Over 4,500 funnel cakes enjoyed.
