Body of News Release
Marin County, CA – This May, Marin County Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), through Behavioral Health and Recovery Services (BHRS) and community partners, invites residents to participate in May Mental Health Month — a series of more than 10 free events focused on well-being, connection, and reducing stigma.
During the April 14 Marin County Board of Supervisors meeting, staff from HHS presented about ongoing efforts to enhance public awareness and reduce stigma — efforts reflected in this year’s May programming.
Events include wellness activities, storytelling, and community conversations. All are free and open to the public, with select events offered in Spanish.
“Connection is at the heart of healing,” said Dr. Todd Schirmer, BHRS Director. “We invite our community to come together, share stories, and support one another.”
