SAN RAFAEL, CA — Keep an eye on your mailbox! The County of Marin is sending invitations to approximately 109,000 households, encouraging residents to share their ideas and help shape the County's future through Envision Marin, its first Countywide Strategic Plan in more than 25 years.

The mailers are expected to arrive November 7-11. Each invitation includes information about how residents can participate online or attend an upcoming community workshop.

The mailing is part of a broader effort to ensure that people throughout Marin know about Envision Marin and have an opportunity to participate.

Since launching the initiative, the County has been reaching residents through neighborhood conversations, presentations to community organizations, partnerships with local groups, social media, newsletters, and outreach by County departments. The County has also launched Engage Marin, an online platform that makes it easy for community members to share their perspectives. County departments and community partners have helped broaden Envision Marin’s reach by leveraging their networks to engage communities historically underrepresented in government planning.

Beginning November 12, the County will host a series of community workshops to provide opportunities for residents to share their ideas and discuss Marin's future.
