Body of News Release

Marin County, CA – Miller Creek and Bolinas school districts notified the County of Marin of updated direct charge rates for the 2026–27 property tax bills. The updated rates were received after the tax bills had been prepared and therefore could not be reflected on the tax bills mailed to taxpayers September 30.

The Marin County Department of Finance, Tax Collector’s Office, is working to issue revised bills for the affected parcels in the Bolinas area plus parts of Terra Linda, Marinwood, and Lucas Valley. Approximately 5,650 bills are affected.

The revised bills will reflect an increase of $17.34 for each affected Miller Creek parcel and $11.70 for each affected Bolinas parcel.

Taxpayers are encouraged to pay their bill online; the correct updated amounts are reflected there.
