Body of News Release

San Rafael, CA – During July, voters in Marin County provided feedback about the local voting process and the County of Marin’s 2022 implementation of the Voter’s Choice Act. With that public input in hand, Marin County Registrar of Voters Lynda Roberts has revised the Elections Department’s plan for administrating elections and has opened a new round of public comment through August 14.

The plan describes voting options and voter services available under the Voter’s Choice Act, also known as state Senate Bill 450. It pertains to voting technology, security, outreach and education, and the process of selecting ballot drop box and vote center locations.

Following the second review and comment period, the registrar may adopt the final plan that will be submitted to the California Secretary of State, who must review and approve the outreach and education portion of the plan.

Written comment may be submitted to the Registrar of Voters, P.O. Box E, San Rafael, CA 94913, or by email.

Information about the Voter’s Choice Act may be viewed on the Elections Department’s website under the “Voter’s Choice Act” tab.
