The proper use and maintenance of your wastewater system is very important. It keeps the community system working and potentially saves money on repairs. Each property owner is responsible for maintaining their plumbing and the wastewater line. The District’s operation and maintenance contractor inspects each septic tank annually. We notify property owners when it is time to have a tank pumped. The property owner is responsible for scheduling and paying for this pumping in a timely manner.
Residents should familiarize themselves with all emergency procedures. If your septic tank effluent pump (STEP) pump alarm goes off, immediately call NSU’s 24-hour number: 707-254-1931. Provide your name, property address, how long the alarm has been sounding, and any other observations that help the maintenance person. Please print each of the documents below for reference.
