The application window for the 2026–27 Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) opened on January 19, 2026 and closed on February 19, 2026 at 5:00 PM.
The County is no longer accepting applications for this funding cycle.
The 2026–27 NOFA reflects the County’s two-year funding cycle. New applications were accepted this round for affordable housing and community infrastructure projects only. Public Service projects are funded on a two-year cycle and were not open for new applications. Existing Public Service subrecipients will be reviewed for renewal based on performance, reporting compliance, and available CDBG funds.
Estimated Funding Available:
Based on prior-year allocations, the County anticipates receiving approximately $3.1 million in total funding, including:
- $1,500,000 in federal Community Development Block Grant[External] (CDBG), of which $230,000 is estimated towards Public Services and $430,000 towards Community Infrastructure
- $700,000 in federal HOME Investment Partnerships Program[External] (HOME)
- $900,000 in state Permanent Local Housing Allocation[External] (PLHA) matched by local Marin County Affordable Housing Fund[External] (HTF) (inclusive of match)
Funding amounts listed above are estimates and are subject to change based on final allocations received from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the California Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD), including final PLHA award amounts.
