What are we amending?
The Planning Division is proposing amendments to the Development Code (Title 22) to:
- Align with new State laws;
- Update housing standards to reflect recently passed State legislation;
- Update standards for Accessory Dwelling Units;
- Ensure consistency throughout the Development Code.

What’s next?
A workshop will be held to consider the proposed Development Code amendments at the regularly scheduled Planning Commission meeting on April 6, 2026. The Planning Commission will consider the final amendments at the regularly scheduled meeting on May 11, 2026, to make a recommendation to the Board of Supervisors, to be scheduled at a later date.
