What is the status of my STR License?

Document last updated on Friday, April 24, 2026.

Resumen

This table provides the status for first round Short Term Rental (STR) licenses (meaning you were registered to operate a STR as of January 1, 2024). Get your status by finding your License ID number that was provided to you when we confirmed that your application was submitted.

What does the status mean?

  • Under Review: This means that your application is still in the review process. Timeframes for a decision may vary since we are reviewing a high number of applications. We will reach out to you if we need any additional information. If we don’t need anything else, the application will be deemed complete.
  • Complete: This means that we do not need any more information to make a decision on your application, and it is in line to be issued. Licenses are being issued in the order they are deemed complete.
  • Issued: Your STR License was issued. If for some reason you did not receive the email issuing your license, please contact us.

What does this mean for my Business License?

The Department of Finance has let us know that because you have applied for your STR License by July 1, 2025, you will be able to renew your Business License without penalty so long as it is renewed within five (5) days of receiving STR approval. Please note, you may still get general emails from the Department of Finance, but know that your renewal is not late if you have not been issued a STR license.
