Project Description
The applicant requests Coastal Development Permit approval to rehabilitate an existing, 4,700-foot-long bicycle and pedestrian pathway previously authorized under CP-07-04. The path is intended to provide a safe, publicly accessible route between downtown Bolinas and the Mesa residential area. Development activities include the following: (1) resurface the pathway within the existing footprint by providing a consistent asphalt surface and width of five-feet, consistent with the American Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements; and (2) install drainage improvements along the length of the trail. Other project activities are proposed including the removal of vegetation to facilitate construction access and ensure the integrity of the trail.
Coastal Development Permit approval is required pursuant to Marin County Code Section 20.68.030 of the Marin County Coastal Code.
