Project Description
The applicant requests Conditional Use Permit Amendment approval to host two recurring events at an approximately 35,250-square-foot corporation and maintenance yard of a public utility facility (Tamalpais Community Services District) located in the unincorporated area of Mill Valley (the community of Tamalpais). The events the District seeks to host include: (1) two annual events ("Debris Days") to be held on a Saturday in May and October from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.; and (2) one annual event ("Household Hazardous Waste Day") held on a Saturday in May from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The request also includes authorization for ancillary activities related to these events at the site adjacent to the Tamalpais Valley Community Center, which is addressed under the Tamalpais Community Services District (Corporation and Maintenance Yard) Use Permit Amendment (P5014).
Conditional Use Permit Amendment approval is required pursuant to Marin County Code Section 22.48.050(B) because the project entails changes to required conditions and operating standards of a previously approved Conditional Use Permit.
