Project Description
The applicant requests Coastal Development Permit approval to construct a new 22 foot 7 inch tall, 7,480 square foot farmhouse; three agricultural accessory structures, including a 25 foot, 4,624 square foot equipment barn, a 25 foot, 3,658 square foot stable, and a 25 foot, 23,658 square foot corral; and two agricultural worker housing units (measuring 25 feet, 1,245 square feet and 13.5’ and 656 square feet) on a developed lot in Tomales.
The 42,085 square feet of proposed development would result in a floor area ratio of .30 percent on the 11,699,145 square foot lot. All proposed structures would be located more than 100 feet from all property lines. Various site improvements would also be entailed in the proposed development, including the demolition of two existing accessory structures, roadway improvements, and construction of a new septic system.
Coastal Permit approval is required because the project entails development that is not categorically excluded or exempt as outlined in Section 20.68.030 of the Marin County Code.
