Summary
Greenhouse gas emissions come from different sources. Transportation, buildings, businesses, and landfill waste all contribute to climate change. In September 2026, the County published the Greenhouse Gas Inventory for Unincorporated Marin Community Emissions for the Year 2024. The community inventory identifies and measures these sources in Marin countywide. You can find similar reports for Marin’s cities and towns on the Marin Climate & Energy Partnership (MCEP) website.
