About the Program
The FIRE Foundry program builds a community-based wildfire prevention workforce by providing job training and skill development for underserved and underrepresented community members of Marin County and the surrounding Bay Area. The program supports participants in exploring careers in the fire service and helps prepare them for future jobs as firefighters or in related fields such as healthcare, public safety, and environmental conservation.
In this program
- FIRE Foundry Fuels Crew Student Intern A 1-year entry-level paid position responsible for both wildland fuels reduction and participation in educational and professional development activities through the FIRE Foundry program.
- FIRE Foundry Education Intern A semester-long evening program designed to make it easier for people to complete the required prerequisites for careers in fire service or EMS.
- Hear from our previous participants We want to help all our participants succeed.
Two pathways to join
