Marin County, CA – Nonprofit and community-based organizations in Marin County have until June 30 to apply for the County of Marin’s Community Grants & Investment Program, designed to support one-time projects and events that align with County goals and priorities.
The Marin County Board of Supervisors has set aside $1.15 million in the proposed 2026-27 budget for the program. Grants from $1,000 to $50,000 are available for projects that benefit Marin residents and lead to creative, impactful solutions that strengthen our communities.
Groups are eligible to apply for the program if they are registered as 501(c)(3), 501(c)(4), tax-exempt community-based organizations, or similar organizations with a fiscal agent/sponsor. Applicants may only submit one request per organization. While matching funds aren’t required, the County encourages proposals with diverse funding sources. Preference for projects led by nonprofits in partnership with other community organizations. The County’s program funding cannot be used for ongoing operations, general fundraising, or for religious or political purposes.

Following the June 30 application deadline, County staff will review applications and recommend funding allotments to the Board of Supervisors by this fall. Contract executions follow, and allotted funds must be used between July 1, 2026, and June 30, 2027.
