San Rafael, CA – The Marin County Community Development Agency (CDA) is inviting members of the public to join the Board of Supervisors at another workshop to provide feedback on ways to improve the code compliance program for unincorporated parts of Marin County. The event will take place at 8:30 AM on Tuesday, July 8, in suite 233 of the Marin County Civic Center.
This is the second in a series of interactive workshops organized by CDA’s code compliance specialists and builds on the input received during the May 13, 2025, meeting. A third workshop is being organized where staff will present major themes gathered from feedback received, and details will be provided at a later date.
“We’re always looking for ways to better serve the community, and this workshop is a way for the public and the Board of Supervisors to let us know how we can improve our code compliance program,” said CDA Director Sarah Jones. ”We’ll use what we learn to develop some recommendations for changes that will make this important work more efficient and effective.”
During the workshop, Jones and staff will provide an overview of the code compliance process, explain the purpose of the workshop, share feedback from the previous workshop, and lead participants in discussions of some of the most complicated and interesting aspects of code enforcement.
CDA protects the health and safety of residents by enforcing zoning, health and safety, building codes, and environmental regulations in the unincorporated parts of Marin County.
The workshop will not be televised or live streamed, and seating will be limited.
Interested individuals can find more information about the workshop by viewing the Code Compliance Program Overview report. The July 8 minutes will be posted later this month on the Board’s archive webpage.
