HHS Strategic Planning

Welcome to the Marin Health and Human Services Strategic Planning Initiative website!

At Marin Health and Human Services (HHS), we are dedicated to fostering a healthier and more resilient community. Our Strategic Planning Initiative is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of health and human services in Marin County.

Key Priority Areas

Advance racial equity

This plan leads with race, as the data shows that disparities by race are greatest in Marin. While we address race explicitly, we take an intersectional approach involving other marginalized populations to help achieve equity and justice for all Marin residents.

Overview

Leading with racial equity, the HHS Strategic Plan identifies a clear path to progress toward our Vision and Mission in the next  three years. Above are the five key Priority Areas to which the detailed plan ties very specific goals and objectives.

The five cross-cutting strategies of Transparency and Accountability, Client Experience, Communication, Systems Capacity Building, and Equity, were themes we heard from members of Marin County as we conducted focus groups. These cross-cutting strategies will shape and exert influence on the five priority areas to enhance overall effectiveness, collaboration, and impact within the Strategic Plan.
