What we do
We provide emergency medical services and education. We do this by:
- Providing Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) training for all Marin firefighters;
- Educating residents about conditions like heart attacks and strokes;
- Providing emergency medical services for all Marin residents;
- Providing Vial of L.I.F.E. forms, for residents to store their emergency medical information.
We have provided emergency medical services since 1965, when the first ambulance was stationed in Point Reyes. Since then, all Marin firefighters have become trained EMTs.
In this division
- Get a Vial of L.I.F.E. A Vial of L.I.F.E. is a free way to store your medical information so first responders can easily find it.
- Learn about the signs of heart attacks and strokes Heart attacks and strokes are life and death emergencies. If you see or have any of these symptoms, get help quickly and call 911.
- Find a Safe Haven location All Marin County fire stations are Safe Haven locations.
